Developers behind a 160-room boutique hotel along the Cocohatchee River in North Naples say the property — under the brand The Perry, which debuted in Key West in 2017 — is scheduled to open this fall.
The $80 million project is at 12155 Tamiami Trail N., Naples. The hotel, according to a statement, is seven floors. Features include spacious guest rooms, most with balconies; a ground-floor pool and adjacent activity lawn; a poolside tapas eatery; a lobby coffee bar; a fitness center; an open-air deck featuring a rooftop pool; a poolside bar highlighting craft cocktails; and rooftop Tigress Restaurant, a full-service venue serving chef-driven Asian-fusion cuisine and panoramic views.
“The opening of The Perry Hotel Naples will significantly change the landscape for destination hotels available to travelers visiting Southwest Florida,” says Mike Raymond, CEO of FOD Capital, which developed the project, in the statement.
Much of the hotel ambience and landscape, the developers say, stems from the local native ecosystem, which consists of a riverine estuary, a mangrove forest and an upland forest of native pines, oaks and palms. The two-story lobby includes rustic materials such as exposed brick, stone and light woods, the release states, which “are offset by steel beams, metal chandeliers and leather seating.” Casa Conde & Associates is the design firm.
Water is a key theme, too. A boardwalk meanders from the pool deck through the mangrove-infused nature conservation area to reach the riverfront pier, featuring an eight-slip marina and a dock. The property also offers direct channel access to the Gulf of Mexico and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park Beaches.
“The area has become increasingly desirable for travelers due to its proximity to nearby beaches, golf courses, world-class shopping and other areas for outdoor recreation,” FOD Capital CFO Matt Strunk says in the release. “The Perry Hotel Naples will be a wonderful destination hotel for travelers and locals alike.”
