Riverview homebuilder Casa Fresca Homes is expanding its reach and restructuring operations to make growth easier.

The company, a subsidiary of Homes by WestBay, is creating two separate operating divisions in order to become more efficient as it grows its presence in West and Central Florida.

The West Florida Division, according to a news release, will focus on Sarasota, Charlotte, Marion, Hernando and Citrus counties. The Central Florida Division will focus on Polk and Lake counties, with particular emphasis on Haines City.

Homes by WestBay underwent a similar restructuring last year.

Two current Casa Fresca employees will oversee the new divisions: Dominque Hernandez will manage the central division and Richard Thompson the west division.

The company has also hired Dale Human as vice president of sales operations, the release states. The former Lennar Homes director sales is charged with developing processes aimed at further growth.

In the news release announcing the reorganization, the president of Casa Fresca and Homes by West Bay Development Services, Mark Metheny, says the company is “committed to driving consistent, substantial and reliable growth” and that “this reorganization is a testament to our commitment to providing a reliable investment.”

Casa Fresca, whose portfolio includes communities in Pasco, Hillsborough and Manatee, says in the release that it closed on more than 550 homes in 2023 and posted an 83% year-over-year increase from 2022.

The company also says it has spent nearly $95.8 million buying land in Polk and Pasco in the fourth quarter last year and the first quarter this year.
