Breeze Airways is again expanding its nonstop service in the region. The latest announcement: a flight from Fort Myers to the Manchester, New Hampshire, area, 50 miles from Boston.

The flight, according to a statement, is from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT). The new route will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Oct. 2, the airline says. The route will be served on Breeze’s Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

“We are very pleased to see that Breeze is adding nonstop flights to Manchester, New Hampshire this fall, a popular market that is not currently being served at Southwest Florida International Airport,” said Ben Siegel, CPA, C.M., executive director of the Lee County Port Authority Executive Director Ben Siegel says in a statement. “Breeze continues to expand and we are excited that RSW is part of that growth."

“There’s a reason we have been expanding service from Fort Myers,” Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey adds in the release. “It’s not only a great destination for our guests, but it’s also a growing community. This new route to Manchester will only further connect Southwest Florida with the Northeast.”

Breeze added four nonstop destinations at Tampa International Airport late last year. Earlier this year it announced it will begin nonstop service to Orange County, California, from Tampa in May.
