Dale Evans, a former senior-level manager in process, operations and technology with women’s retailer Chico’s FAS, has been named COO of Seagate Development Group, one of the more prolific developers in Southwest Florida.

The COO role is a new one for the Fort Myers-based company’s expanding executive leadership team, according to a statement. As COO, Evans, Seagate says, will lead Seagate’s operations to support all team members and enhance the overall client experience. “Dale’s extensive technical experience and seasoned leadership will significantly contribute to our company's continued success and growth,” Seagate President James Nulf Jr. says in the release. “He brings to Seagate a wealth of knowledge and expertise in aligning people, processes and technology to optimize business success.”

Prior to joining Seagate, Evans owned a consulting company named Connetiv Inc., where, the release states, he “guided various organizations to define operational strategy, integrate technology and improve business performance." Before that Evans was with Fort Myers-based Chico’s for 15 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. From 2016 to 2020 he was senior manager of enterprise architecture, where among other responsibilities he worked to “improve IT strategy, direction, and business/technology alignment.”

Launched in 2015, Seagate Development Group’s divisions include luxury homebuilder Seagate Residential; commercial development and construction company Seagate Commercial; and Seagate Asset & Property Management, which specializes in leasing, tenant management, and facility and financial services. Other Seagate entities include luxury interior design firm Theory Design and land development, mining operations, water management and marine services firm Earth Tech Enterprises.
