Fort Myers airport debuts new nonstops, including Toronto, New Orleans

November has been a busy month for new flights at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.

New routes that debuted in the first 10 days of the month include:

A daily nonstop flight to Toronto on Porter Airlines, which debuted Nov. 10. Porter, according to a statement, will operate the service on an Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. It will be the first time this aircraft type will be flying in the United States, the airline and airport say. Porter, also, is a new air carrier for Southwest Florida International Airport, which goes by the code letters of RSW. Porter Airlines announced the new service in August 2023.
Breeze Airways debuted nonstop service to New Orleans from RSW Nov. 2.
Breeze also debuted nonstop service to Norfolk, Virginia, on Nov 2.

Both New Orleans and Norfolk are new markets for RSW and the flights will be twice a week. Breeze Airways announced this new service in July 20.
