Fort Myers women’s retailer Chico’s FAS has named a new CFO after the resignation of its well-traveled previous top financial executive.

The new CFO, effective June 24, is David Oliver, who had been senior vice president for finance, controller and chief accounting officer, according to a statement. Oliver joined the company in 2012 and has held multiple leadership roles, including Interim CFO from February 2020 until September 2021. Prior to Chico’s, Oliver held finance roles with Supervalu, the Arden Group and the Vons Cos.

"We are excited about David's appointment,” Chico’s CEO and President, Molly Langenstein says in the release. “David was instrumental in stewarding the company for a year and a half as interim CFO during the early phase of the pandemic. His deep knowledge of Chico's FAS, as well as his impressive financial experience and steady hand, will benefit the company as we continue to make progress against our long-term strategic plan.”
