FKQ Advertising + Marketing Inc., a full-service marketing agency headquartered in Clearwater, has tapped Sergio Rodriguez for the role of executive creative director.

According to a news release, Rodriguez most recently worked for CCOMGROUP, where his accounts included Florida Power and Light, United Healthcare, the U.S. Navy, Dunkin’ Donuts and Johnson & Johnson. At FKQ, he will lead the agency’s creative strategy and brand stewardship efforts, in addition to managing a team of creative professionals.

“Sergio creates compelling and memorable work for brands,” FKQ Executive Vice President George Ferris states in the release. “That, coupled with experience inspiring others with his strategic vision, passion and teamwork mindset, made him a natural fit to join FKQ. We are proud to welcome him to the family and look forward to accomplishing more positive results for our clients.”

Rodriguez’s background, the release states, also includes work on behalf of General Motors — he played a key role in the launch of models such as Silverado, Tahoe and Traverse.

“FKQ’s rich 60-plus-year history in the industry, its diverse mix of perspectives, lively culture and exciting roster of clients energized me to want to join the team,” Rodriguez states in the release. “FKQ is a powerhouse of talented individuals and it’s been a thrill to hit the ground running for the agency’s impressive list of client partners.”
