Tampa Bay Lightning owner donates $5 million to art museum

The gift from Jeff and Penny Vinik will fund the Tampa Museum of Art’s new education center.

The Tampa Museum of Art has received a $5 million gift from Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and his wife, Penny, that will support renovations related to the institution’s new education center, which opened May 16 and will henceforth be known as the Vinik Family Education Center.
