NAPLES — DeAngelis Diamond, one of the largest construction firms in the region, has launched a special projects division.

With six offices specializing in 16 market segments, the division will concentrate on interior renovations, additions, tenant improvements and build-outs for commercial, faith-based, nonprofit facilities and more, according to a press release. The special projects division, company officials adds, will benefit clients with large company resources, including high-level project management software, field management, accounting and more.

Brian McKenzie, a DeAngelis Diamond veteran, will head up the new division as director of special projects. McKenzie has 22 years of construction experience in Southwest Florida and has been with DeAngelis Diamond for over 20 years, the release states.

“DeAngelis Diamond was founded on core projects such as these. Projects in our community for nonprofit organizations, banks, local developers and small business owners,” McKenzie says in the statement. “The special projects division was formed in recognition of the importance of this work to our company in the past, at the present and into the future.”

Founded in 1996, DeAngelis Diamond had $318.45 million in revenue in 2019.
