Nonprofit — facing a $3M monthly shortfall — furloughs an additional 231 employees

Goodwill Manasota had previously announced furloughs of 374 employees due to the coronavirus.

BRADENTON — Goodwill Manasota has furloughed an additional 231 employees, effective April 3. 

To comply with the stay-at-home order issued by Gov. Ron DeSantis, Goodwill Manasota has closed all of its retail stores. According to a press release, the action effectively shuts off its primary source of income. The nonprofit projects a loss of over $3 million in sales each month.
