SARASOTA — Jacksonville-based general contractor LandSouth Construction will begin work next month on the Harrison Apartment Suites, a new apartment community in north Sarasota. 

Mutifamily and senior living developer LIV Development of Birmingham, Ala., chose Charlan Brock Associates of Maitland to design the gated community. The complex is on 11.2 acres at 3301 Whitfield Ave.
