Insurance, investment firm announces new president

BRADENTON — Austin Boyd has been named president of Boyd Insurance & Investments, where his father, former Florida State House Rep. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton, is CEO.

According to a press release, Austin Boyd is the third generation of the Boyd family to lead the company’s team of nearly 30 insurance and investment professionals. Boyd rose to the role of president after the retirement of Pat Osborn.
