National builder tapped to construct student housing

Suffolk contracted for University Village Phase II near Florida Gulf Coast University; will use collaborative Touchplan technology for scheduling process.

ESTERO — Suffolk, a national building contractor with Florida offices in Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa and Estero, has been chosen to oversee construction of Miromar Development’s University Village Phase II, which is adjacent to Florida Gulf Coast University.

The project will comprise 180,000 square feet, including four new three-story student housing residential buildings with 336 beds and one maintenance building, according to a statement.
