SARASOTA — Furniture Warehouse has purchased the former showroom and warehouse for Kalin’s furniture store in Sarasota for $6 million.
According to a press release, Furniture Warehouse signed a one-year lease and then decided to buy it. “Once they saw the building had value and realized the kind of bones it had, they wanted it,” says J. Chris Malkin, a senior advisor with SVN Florida, in a statement. Malkin coordinated the sale.
The 5.65-acre property is at 5252 S. Tamiami Trail. It includes a 130,000-square-foot building. The facility has a mezzanine surrounding the showroom.
There are five other Furniture Warehouse showrooms in the Sarasota-Bradenton area as well as a corporate headquarters/pickup location.
