New CEO named at insurance firm

SARASOTA — Longtime partner and agent at Sarasota-based Purmort & Martin Insurance Agency Russ Bobbitt assumed the role of president and CEO of the firm from Jamie Purmort.

According to a press release, Purmort has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Bobbitt will now manage day-to-day operations of the agency, steer the firm's direction and handle business development.

Bobbitt has been a licensed Florida agent since 1996. He has licenses in property and casualty, life, health and surplus lines.
