ST. PETERSBURG — Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River has joined Bayfront Health Network, effective July 1, and will be known as Bayfront Health Seven Rivers.
In a press release, the hospital also announced Linda Stockton has been named CEO and it plans to embark on $1.6 million in capital projects.
The addition of Seven Rivers expands Bayfront Health’s network to include seven hospitals: Bayfront Health Brooksville, Bayfront Health Port Charlotte, Bayfront Health Punta Gorda, Bayfront Health Seven Rivers, Bayfront Health Spring Hill, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and Venice Regional Bayfront Health. It also grows Bayfront’s staff to 2,270 physicians and 4,850 support and administrative employees.
“The addition of Seven Rivers to Bayfront Health extends the geographic reach of our network, providing patients with both greater access to services and continuity of care across the Bayfront network,” states Joe Mullany, regional president and CEO of Bayfront Health, in the release. “It strengthens what we can offer patients and allows us to exchange best practices, achieve operational efficiencies and enhance the care we provide across the entire region.”
Stockton, the release states, had been serving as Seven Rivers’ interim CEO since April. She has more than 25 years of hospital leadership experience and is no stranger to the Bayfront system, having served as CEO of Bayfront Health Dade City prior to joining Seven Rivers.
“Joining Bayfront Health supports our efforts to deliver safe, quality patient care while positioning our hospital for long-term success and strength,” Stockton states in the release. “Seven Rivers’ mission will remain the same, and what we do on a day-to-day level — caring for the people who live in our community — won’t change. Being part of Bayfront Health will only strengthen what we can offer our patients.”
The hospital’s upcoming capital projects include an expansion of the facility’s surgical capacity and renovations to its main lobby.
