Contractor chosen to build Margaritaville Resort

DeAngelis Diamond is named the general contractor as construction will begin by year’s end on Fort Myers Beach project.

DeAngelis Diamond will build the new Margaritaville Resort in Fort Myers Beach.

FORT MYERS — A new Margaritaville Resort is planned for Fort Myers Beach, and Naples-based DeAngelis Diamond has been named the general contractor. Construction is scheduled to begin in December on the 254-room resort. It will include two beachside restaurants, a beach club, a 22,000-square-foot terrace restaurant and a coffee shop.

Owned and operated by Minnesota-based TPI Hospitality, the resort has been designed by Ramaker & Associates of Sauk City, Wis.

“We chose DeAngelis Diamond because they know how to run a job, and they know how to run a big job,” says TPI Hospitality Chairman Tom Torgerson in a press release. “They just have a great reputation.”

DeAngelis Diamond specializes in commercial, multifamily and health care construction.
