Financial services firm names director

SARASOTA — Sarasota-based Allegiant Private Advisors promoted Carl Watkins to wealth adviser director and principal.

Watkins has worked in the financial services industry since 2007, according to a press release. He joined Allegiant in 2014 as a certified financial planner. He's also a certified divorce financial analyst and holds an Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation.

The firm also hired Melissa Walsh as a wealth adviser. According to a press release, her experience in the financial services industry began in 2008. She holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is pursuing Certified Financial Planner certification.
