Do you know an entrepreneurial, business-minded teenager?

Then the Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida CEO Academy at Florida Gulf Coast University might be the best place for the youngster to hone his or her skills. The academy is a weeklong summer camp, open to rising high school juniors and seniors from Charlotte, Collier and Lee counties, according to a statement.

The CEO Academy, under guidance of experienced local business leaders, entrepreneurs and FGCU professors, teaches the basics of starting and operating a successful business. Students work in project teams to develop a unique business concept and comprehensive business plan, the statement adds. Students can expect lessons in economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, finance, the global economy, marketing and international trade.
