Freedman joins Shumaker Advisors

Veteran Sarasota land planner Joel Freedman has joined Shumaker Advisors Florida LLC, a Tampa-based affiliate of law firm Shumaker Loop & Kendrick LLP.

Freedman, the president of Freedman Consulting & Development, will be the firm's director of land planning.

In more than two decades in Sarasota, Freedman has worked on dozens of commercial and residential real estate projects, including the former Pineapple Square, now a $200 million mixed-use complex being developed as The Mark; the 18-story Jewel condo tower; David Weekley Homes' Payne Park Village; Hotel Indigo; the Hyatt Regency Sarasota; and the Whole Foods Market Centre, among others.
