Company gets sippy with its latest product

VENICE — Drinkware manufacturer Tervis has a new line of products — personalized sippy cups for babies and toddlers.

One of the largest employers in the Sarasota-Bradenton region, Tervis manufactures several varieties of drinkware products, everything from wine cups to water bottles, from its state-of-the-art 90,000-square-foot plant. The sippy cups, which can be made with personal photos, backgrounds and text designed for each individual baby, are the latest addition to the product line. Tervis is the only company in the marketplace with this level of customization, officials with the company say in the statement.

Tervis, with about 1,000 employees, is a third-generation family-owned business.
