Downtown Sarasota apartment project revived at $15M

Downtown Sarasota real estate investor Jesse Biter has moved ahead with plans for a $15 million, mixed-use project at Fruitville Road and Second Street adjacent to his four-story HuB Building.

Biter filed plans with the city late last month to develop 96 apartments, 6,270 square feet of office space and about 250 parking spaces, which would supplant an existing two-level garage adjacent to the HuB.

Biter says he hopes to deliver the 1697 2nd St. project in 2018.
