Banker bolts for credit union

Achieva Credit Union named former PNC Bank business banker Sean Murphy a commercial relationship manager for the Southwest Florida territory.

Murphy's appointment is a part of a broader expansion into Lee and Collier counties for Dunedin-based Achieva, according to a statement. That includes more staff and branches, the release adds. Achieva also acquired a bank, Charlotte County-based Calusa Bank, in a $23 million deal last year.

Murphy, raised in Fort Myers, previously worked in business banking for PNC Bank, RBC Bank, Wachovia Bank and SunTrust Bank.
