Health nonprofit names executive

NAPLES — Dr. Emily Ptaszek has been named COO of the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida, a private nonprofit organization that works with migrant and seasonal farm workers, rural poor and other Collier County citizens.

Ptaszek's position is effective April 1, according to a statement. Ptaszek formerly held the dual role of vice president of operations and head of HCN's behavioral health department. As COO she will continue to oversee daily operations of HCN's 20 locations, as well as the organization's human resources, dental services, IT, nursing and behavioral health divisions.

Ptaszek, with experience working with underserved populations, is also a clinical instructor with FSU's College of Medicine, where she supervises and teaches post-doctoral psychology fellows and medical students.
