Women leaders boost big accounting firm

SARASOTA — Accounting firm Kerkering, Barberio & Co. has been selected by the 2016 Accounting MOVE Project as one of the best public accounting firms for leadership equity.

The project recognizes the best public accounting firms for women, a statement says. To qualify for the leadership equity list, at least 30% of a firm's partners and principals must be women and the firm must have 50 or more employees.

Sarasota-based Kerkering, Barberio & Co. has 64% women partners and 73% women directors, the statement says. Overall, 75% percent of the company's full-time employees are female.
