Yacht retailer acquires marina

Clearwater-based MarineMax, the largest recreational boat and yacht dealer in the United States, has purchased the Bahia Mar Marina in Pensacola, according to a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MarineMax plans to relocate its sales and service operations from Airport Boulevard in Pensacola to the newly acquired waterfront facility, the statement says.

The Bahia Mar facility is a full-service marina with a 50-ton life travel lift, a boat yard, covered and open wet slips and a fuel dock. It is home to The Oar House, a popular waterfront restaurant, the release adds.
