A 49-year-old Naples man could spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of wire fraud and identity theft.

Jeffrey Ihm plead guilty to impersonating executives from Lakewood Ranch-based Roper Industries, CSX Corp., Convergence Consulting Group and Kinetic Technologies LLC, among other firms.

Ihm plead guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, each of which carries a maximum possible penalty of 20 years in federal prison, and five counts of aggravated identity theft, which is punishable by two years imprisonment per count.

Ihm used money he obtained from banks by posing online as the executives between February 2013 and July 2014 to purchase real estate and for “other personal enrichment,” according to federal agents.

Federal agencies seek $2.235 million that Ihm raised while conducting the fraud. Another $315,000 seized from a Suncoast Credit Union account and from Ihm's residence in Naples is also expected to be forfeited.
