Commercial owner, others creating arts incubator
Winter Haven developer Six/Ten LLC is working with the Arts Ensemble Education Foundation to create an arts incubator in Polk County. Called Outer Space Gallery, the goal of the new arts incubator in Winter Haven is to connect artists and local businesses, nonprofits and government to create a space for artist to work, teach, exhibit their work and learn from other artists. The incubator is scheduled to open by early June.

Six/Ten LLC will make space available in a building downtown at 230 Avenue C S.W., Winter Haven for the project.

Six/Ten LLC is a developer of commercial and residential properties in Florida, and an investor in big data software and related technologies. The company owns more than 450,000 square feet of commercial property, a cyber-security company and Florida's largest organic blueberry operation.

Pittsburgh Pirates name Bradenton Marauders GM
The Pittsburgh Pirates has promoted Rachelle Madrigal to director of sales and general manager for the Bradenton Marauders.

Madrigal has worked for the Pirates since 2007, most recently holding the title of manager of sales and marketing. In addition to running the day-to-day operations of the Bradenton Marauders, she will continue to oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for both Pirates Spring Training and the Marauders.

Madrigal was recognized as the Female Executive of the Year in the Florida State League in 2014. She is currently the only female general manager in the league.

A.J. Grant, who took over the general manager position after the 2013 season, was named director of operations. Grant will be in charge of facility operations at both McKechnie Field and Pirate City.

PGT Industries backed for SEED incentives
The Sarasota County Commission has approved PGT Industries' (symbol: PGTI; recent price: $12) application for the Sustainable Energy Economic District (SEED) Incentive Program. The Venice firm is now eligible to receive up to $300,000 in incentives.

To be qualify for the program, PGT had to perform at least 5% above Florida's energy code requirements and needed to create at least five new full-time jobs in the clean technology or green business research/development sectors and at least 10 new full-time jobs in the green business manufacturing or industrial sectors.

PGT Industries expects to add 220 new jobs over the next five years, largely due to its new 96,000-square-foot glass operations plant.

Dunkin' Donuts' ad agency promoting Chico's brands
Fort Myers-based retailer Chico's FAS Inc. (symbol: CHS; recent price: $17.21) has hired Zimmerman Advertising to handle the company's broadcast and print media strategy, including planning and buying for the Chico's, White House Black Market and Soma brands. Zimmerman will also handle Chico's FAS Inc.'s digital strategy.

The advertising agency Zimmerman represent some of the most prominent retail brands in the country, including hhgregg, Party City, Dunkin' Donuts, Tire Kingdom, AutoNation, Firehouse Subs, Boston Market, Extended Stay America and Michaels.

Superior Uniform Group names two brand presidents
Superior Uniform Group Inc. (symbol: SGC; recent price: $17.14), promoted Peter Benstock to president of Fashion Seal Healthcare - Direct and David Schechter to president of Superior I.D. Benstock will continue to serve as executive vice president of Superior Uniform Group, a role he has held since February 2002. He has been with Superior Uniform Group since 1983.

Schechter will continue to serve as the company's vice president of marketing, a job he has held since July 2014. He originally joined Superior Uniform Group in 1984.

The Fashion Seal Healthcare brand uniforms and other apparel are designed for hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The Superior I.D. brand is focused on the retail, food service, private security, transportation and hospitality industries.

Trinity medical center starting Citrus Park E.R.
The Medical Center of Trinity plans to open the Citrus Park ER, a freestanding emergency department next month. The new facility will provide medical services for serious illnesses or injuries 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The stand-alone emergency department will be located on Sheldon Road north of Citrus Park Drive at 12922 Sheldon Road, Tampa.
The Medical Center of Trinity is a 236-bed hospital.

Raymond James M&A work wins two deal of the year awards
Raymond James Financial Inc.'s (symbol: RJF; recent price: $57.67) investment banking business won two Deal of the Year awards at The M&A Advisor's 7th Annual International M&A Awards gala. The St. Petersburg company received the Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year in the $250 million to $500 million category for its handling of the acquisition of AdColony by Opera Software. It also won the Financial Services Deal of the Year for the sale of Shoreline and Source One Direct to Gemalto.

Burger 21 signs deal to grow in Georgia
Restaurant franchise Burger 21 signed an additional franchise agreement with the brand's first franchisee, Dennis Saller, to develop its first restaurant in Melbourne at The Avenue Viera shopping mall. In addition, the Tampa-based chain signed agreements for its Snellville, Ga., and Johns Creek, Ga., locations.

Burger 21 has 15 open locations and more than 20 franchised restaurants in development across the country.
