Relive the Business Observer's 40 Under 40 issue — in photos, videos

The Business Observer held its annual 40 Under 40 celebration Thursday, Oct. 8, at The Ora in Sarasota. 

The Business Observer’s 40 Under 40 issue honors the region’s rising stars, from Naples through Lakeland. We look for people with high levels of demonstrated success — in nonprofits and for-profits — who are, of course, under 40. We also look for people who are willing to take risks, start companies and move big projects forward. 

One aspect of the Business Observer’s 40 Under 40 issue that’s different from other publications is, with the idea that everyone has someone to help guide them, we also recognize the honorees’ mentors. 

Some 200 people attended the event this year and celebrated with stories about the winners and videos. 

Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2027 issue.
