Trust company names top new tech exec

VENICE — Caldwell Trust Co. has named IT executive Leonard Nagel senior vice president and chief technology officer.

Nagel was most recently with Suncoast Solutions, a commercial software developer in the hospice and home health industry. He was vice president of support services for 10 years, and a senior vice president of technology and services for the last six years. Nagel started his career in 1994 at software vendor Health Care of New Orleans Services, where he was the IT director.

Nagel will expand Caldwell Trust's IT department, according to a release. He will help develop the company's long-term technology vision in collaboration with Daniel Williams, assistant vice president of information systems.
