Construction starts on Mercato homes

NAPLES — Lutgert Companies has started building 52 homes next to the Mercato, a popular shopping center in North Naples that includes a Whole Foods supermarket.

Prices for the 33 single-family homes and 19 villas start at $1.2 million. The first home at the Residences at Mercato is scheduled to be completed this summer.

Naples-based Lutgert has seen strong residential sales of condos within Mercato, the company says. Besides Whole Foods other tenants at Mercato include Nordstrom Rack, The Capital Grille, Silverspot Cinemas, Venture X and Tommy Bahama.
