Oncologists expand headquarters

FORT MYERS — Construction firm Stultz says it has started construction to expand the corporate headquarters of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute.

The $2.5 million project will expand Florida Cancer Specialists' existing headquarters by adding a 21,132-square-foot building to the campus at 4371 Veronica Shoemaker Blvd. in Fort Myers. Stutz says it plans to complete the project in the fourth quarter of this year.

The oncology practice will use half of the new space for administrative purposes and the other half for a new specialty pharmacy for oncology drugs, according to a statement from Stultz.
