Distributor opens Chicago facility

BONITA SPRINGS — Specialty foods distributor Innovative Food Holdings opened a Chicago-area distribution center to supply its growing number of customers.

Innovative Food subsidiary Artisan Specialty Foods opened the 28,000-square-foot distribution center in Broadview, Ill. Founded in 2004 as a small distributor to local restaurants, Artisan now has hundreds of customers in the Chicago metro area, the company says.

“The new customized build out, integration and warehouse transition to this new facility went seamlessly due to the hard work of our talented and dedicated team at Artisan Specialty Foods,” says Justin Wiernasz, president of Innovative Food, in a statement.
