Bradenton office buyer emerges

The new owner of a three-story Bradenton office building anchored by the Bradenton Herald newspaper is a company controlled by a London-based executive with ties to a diversified mining and investment firm.

The Riverview Complex LLC, which bought the 1111 Third Ave. W. building earlier this month for $3.2 million, is managed by Brian Wides, according to state records.

Wides, 70, is the retired chief executive officer and executive director of international business development at Anglo Pacific Group plc, records show. Wides, who was the company's CEO from July 2006 to October 2010, left Anglo Pacific in May 2014. Company officials credited him with expanding the company from a small mining concern to an international corporation, according to Bloomberg Business.
