NASA, Vology sign potential $20B deal

OLDSMAR -- NASA has selected Vology Inc. for the space agency's fifth iteration of Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement, a multi-award, government-wide acquisition contract that could be worth up to $20 billion over 10 years.

“Our team was successful in demonstrating the value of Vology's expertise in networking and virtualization technologies as federal agencies evolve into a new age of software-defined data centers and virtual infrastructures,” says John O'Shea, Vology's president, in a release.

The procurement agreement is the largest the federal government offers for information technology services, and was last opened a decade ago. With the award, Vology says it expects to add employees to help with program management, and more jobs are possible depending on contract volume. Vology did not share the number of employees it expects to add.
