Farm operation earns global certification

FORT MYERS — Urban farm operator Selovita earned international certification for its organic vegetables and fish-raising operation.

Selovita, which markets its products as Florida Urban Organics, earned GlobalG.A.P. certification for its vegetable and tilapia operation in Fort Myers. The certification improves Selovita's ability to sell its products internationally.

“This certification is a credit to our incredible staff and their passion for and commitment to the food and agricultural industry,” says Gary Winrow, Selovita's founder and managing director, in a statement. “It's a significant milestone for not only Selovita and Florida Urban Organics, but for our entire community.”
