GULF COAST —Silver Airways has announced plans to expand its flights by 40% to several Florida cities, including Tampa and Fort Myers, starting Nov. 6. The airline says that after that date it will have a total of 560 weekly flights to 10 Florida cities, including 15 different non-stop routes within the state. It will be adding flights and/or increasing the frequency to or from Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Orlando, Fort Myers, Tampa, Pensacola, and Tallahassee.
For Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Silver Airways will be adding an additional nonstop flight between Orlando and resuming its second seasonal flight to and from Key West.
The airline will also increase its weekday flights between Tampa International Airport and Key West to a total of four daily flights, and will grow its weekday service between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale from three to four daily flights and increase weekend service.
“We look forward to even further expanding our intra-Florida footprint and giving our customers even more travel options with greater frequencies between key destinations throughout the Sunshine State,” Silver Airways CEO Sami Teittinen says in a press release.
