TAMPA — Kleangas Energy Technologies Inc. has signed a letter of intent to acquire Second Cycle Recycling.

Kokomo, Ind.-based Second Cycle Recycling converts used paper and cardboard into pellets that it resells for pet bedding, burning for energy or heat, insulation or as package stabilizers.

“They have research facilities that move the use of pellets forward in new, exciting, and innovative ways,” Bo Linton, CEO of Kleangas Energy Technologies, says in a press release. “Their research and production capabilities will enhance our continued growth into new markets in the pellet business.”

Once the deal is closed, Kleangas Energy Technologies says it expects to move Second Cycle Recycling's pellet production into a larger facility with room for future expansion.

Kleangas Energy Technologies private labels and markets Oxy-Hydrogen on-demand generators, and through its wholly owned subsidiaries sells wood pellets as an alternative to coal and a waste heat energy source.
