Prominent property appraiser helps launch new unit

BRADENTON — Longtime commercial real estate broker Jim Boyd has been named head of a new division for property appraisals at NAI Manasota.

Boyd, with more than 40 years in commercial real estate, will be the regional director of the southeast division of NAI Manasota's CRE Valuation Services unit, according to a release. The new division is a network of property appraisers from NAI's Florida offices. Boyd will also serve as an adviser for Lakewood Ranch-based NAI Manasota clients.

Boyd has run commercial appraisal firms during his career, and he's also worked in real estate for shopping mall developers and fast food restaurants.
