Ford Motor blesses restaurant

Ford's Garage has just three locations serving burgers and beer in the Fort Myers area, but the automaker likes what's cooking.

Ford Motor Co. recently granted FG Restaurant Group a license to use the iconic oval blue logo and images at its Ford's Garage restaurants. Besides downtown Fort Myers, Ford's Garage has locations in Cape Coral and Miromar Outlets in Estero.

Based in Fort Myers, FG Restaurant Group is composed of local restaurateurs Daniel Kearns, Zak Kearns and Mike McGuigan. Fort Myers is where Henry Ford wintered with other luminaries of his time, including Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone.
