Atlanta-based SunTrust Bank has named three new senior executives for the Gulf Coast region.

The new leaders include:
• Jill Wilkinson, president of the St. Petersburg division: Wilkinson, according to a release, will oversee the branches, commercial banking products and services and coordinate investment banking with business and commercial banking clients. Outside the bank, Wilkinson serves on the advisory board to the Dean of the College of Business for USF St. Petersburg. She's also on the boards of the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership and St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.

SunTrust Tampa Bay President and CEO Allen Brinkman, who oversees the region from Tampa to Naples, appointed Wilkinson. “Jill has demonstrated success in supporting the complex needs of commercial and business banking clients and those in the nonprofit, institutional and government sector as well, helping them reach key growth and operations goals,” Brinkman says in the statement. “With more than 40 years of experience at SunTrust, she is uniquely qualified to be our leader in St. Petersburg.”

• Joshua McCoy, president of Manatee County: McCoy, who will report to Steve Vito, president and CEO of SunTrust's Southwest Florida region, has been with the bank for nine years. He was previously a commercial, institutional government and relationship manager for the bank. McCoy is on the board of the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp.

• Nick Roberts, president of Sarasota County: Roberts, who has been with the bank since 2004, will also report to Vito. He started his SunTrust career in underwriting loans and later worked in commercial banking, with clients in Charlotte, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Roberts, according to the release, worked for Ford Motor Credit before SunTrust. His roles outside the bank include one with the Salvation Army, where he's a financial education instructor.
