Sarasota firm hooks up U.N. with Wi-Fi

SARASOTA — Akuwa Solutions Group, a Sarasota-based IT and network integration firm, has been selected to provide Wi-Fi services in United Nations facilities across the world.

Akuwa, according to a release, will supply Ruckus Wireless Wi-Fi equipment to the U.N. offices under a new contract. Founded in 1999, the company also provides Wi-Fi services for a variety of entities in Florida, including Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, the Diocese of St. Petersburg and EverBank Field in Jacksonville. The firm is also an IT help desk for companies, with a focus on implementing a backup server system known as virtual server technology.
