TAMPA - Dallas-based Generational Equity, a mergers and acquisitions adviser for privately held, middle-market businesses, announced it has opened a Tampa office.

Bill Hunter, managing director, merger and acquisitions, will lead the new firm, located at 511 West Bay St., Suite 350, Tampa.

The company has offices in Irvine, Calif., and Chicago with more than 200 professionals in North America, according to a press release.

“We opened our Tampa business as part of our ongoing strategy to grow our physical presence throughout the United States,” says Executive Vice President Dwight Jacobs, in the release. “We felt that Florida in particular and the Southeast in general are both rapidly recovering from the economic challenges of the last recession, and that the time was right to invest our resources there."
