Tech Data director makes list of 100 powerful women

CLEARWATER — Tech Data Corp. director Jackie Baron, a 20-year veteran of the multibillion dollar technology wholesaler, has been named one of most powerful women in her industry by a technology publication.

Baron, who is director of credit operations and customer care at Tech Data (symbol: TECD; recent price: $49.17), was recognized as one of the “Power 100 Women of the Channel” by CRM magazine, an industry trade publication. The women on the list represent a changing trend in a traditionally male-dominated industry, says a Tech Data press release.

Prior to Baron's current position, she and her team were responsible for supporting Tech Data's TechSelect, a group of more than 400 small to medium-sized business resellers, with more than $1 billion in annual sales.
