TAMPA — PNC is placing its ATMs at 37 Murphy Oil gas stations throughout Florida, including Tampa, Fort Myers and Venice as part of its effort to make banking more convenient for its customers.

The ATMs allow PNC (symbol, PNC; recent price, $73.66) customers to cash checks and make deposits as well as withdrawals in $1 increments, says a news release. They're being placed at Murphy Oil stations, which are found at Wal-Mart stores.

“PNC is always looking for innovative ways to make banking easier and more convenient. These ATMs are a great way to expand our services and help customers to bank when and where they want,” says Melissa Mickle, PNC retail banking market manager in Florida, in a statement.

PNC has opened three ATMs at Murphy Oil in Tampa, Orlando and Kissimmee, with the other 34, from Port St. Lucie to Cape Coral, expected to open by early 2014, says PNC spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez.

PNC Bank, a member of The PNC Financial Services Group Inc., has 350 ATMs in Florida and 200 branches.
