ST. PETERSBURG — The mayors of St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Bradenton will discuss emerging trends affecting land use along the Gulf Coast at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) conference in St. Petersburg on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Keynote speaker Chuck DiRocco of PricewaterhouseCoopers will present the results of ULI's 2013 Emerging Trends in Real Estate report, with the mayors' panel following.

The officials will share their views on the regional trends and how they expect Gulf Coast communities to grow and compete as a region, according to a release from ULI.

In breakout sessions, other urban officials and company executives will discuss leveraging public investment, as well as developments in the capital markets and commercial real estate trends.

Edward Kobel, president and chief operating officer of DeBartolo Development, Chuck Davis of MetLife Real Estate Investment, and Vivek Seth, managing director at Raymond James Real Estate Group, are among the executives participating in the ULI investment and real estate panels.

The event will be held at the Marriott on Roosevelt Boulevard North in St. Petersburg.
