TAMPA — Two prominent technology firms based in Tampa Bay, Vology and Bayshore Technologies, have merged to create a company that expects to generate at least $140 million in revenues in 2013, according to a statement from Vology.

Barry Shevlin, CEO of Vology, retains that title following the merger, while Peter Anderson is senior vice president. Anderson, a founder of Bayshore Technologies, had been its CEO. Steve Torres remains chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Vology. The new company will be known as Vology.

The combined firm will have more than 200 employees, according to Vology, and expects to create up to 100 additional jobs within two years. Financial terms for the deal were not disclosed.

“With the addition of Bayshore Technologies' service delivery capabilities, Vology has created what is best described as a Hybrid SuperVAR, a unique business model that allows enterprises to maximize their IT infrastructure budgets through one relationship,” says Shevlin.

Founded by Shevlin in 2002, Vology has grown rapidly, and has been named to the Inc. 500/5000 list for seven consecutive years.

Vology's customer base stretches from the United States across 85 countries, including Canada and sections of Latin America. Bayshore Technologies has provided professional services for clients' information technology infrastructure, including services and products for networking, servers and storage. Bayshore will serve as the combined firm's services-delivery division.

Frank Mann, who founded Bayshore Technologies along with Anderson and Winston DuBose, will become chief technology officer of Vology. DuBose will share responsibilities as vice president of business development with Vology's John Medaska, according to the company.
