Attorney honored for service

NAPLES — Hodges University announced attorney and former lawmaker Dudley Goodlette will receive the Humanitarian of the Year award in February.

A real estate attorney, Goodlette was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1998 and served until 2006 when he reached his term limit. Goodlette, 65, subsequently served as interim president of Edison State College from 2011 to 2012 and is chairman-elect of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

“The Humanitarian of the Year luncheon has become a highly anticipated, respected and celebrated event,” says Philip Memoli, vice president of university advancement for Hodges University, in a statement. “The annual award recognizes those citizens who exemplify the spirit of benevolence and public service in the Naples community.”
