As Seen On TV tapping two inventor pipelines

CLEARWATER — As Seen On TV Inc. has agreed to a strategic partnership with Lightning Launch, a direct response product company, and InventionHome, a product development and marketing company. Under the arrangement, the three companies will work together to move inventors through refining their invention concepts, produce prototypes, developing manufacturing details and negotiating licensing arrangements for the direct response, live shopping and mass-market retail channels.

“As Seen On TV receives thousands of creative ideas each year from ingenious inventors and entrepreneurs,” Ronald Pruett Jr., CEO of As Seen On TV, says in a press release. “We've received well over 2,000 submissions through AsSeenOnTV.com alone. Our two new partners will help us scale effectively and develop a unique portfolio of licensed products in the direct response and As Seen On TV categories.”

Lightning Launch was created by the marketers of the SeatPets, a line of stuffed animals for kids that attach directly to seatbelt. Based on its experiences and in conjunction with As Seen On TV, Lightning Launch created a system to vet new products.
