Tampa Jet Center snags No. 1 ranking

TAMPA — In the Aviation International News' annual survey of fixed-base operators (FBOs), companies that operate private aviation services, Tampa International Jet Center tops the list as the best FBO in Florida.

In addition to its No. 1 ranking in the state, Tampa International Jet Center, located at Tampa International Airport, ranked in the top 5% of all FBOs in the Americas, according to the the trade publication's survey. The jet center received an overall average score of 9.4 out of 10 from its users. Only one operator in the western hemisphere, JA Air Center in Sugar Grove, Ill., scored better with a 9.5.

Second on the list for the Gulf Coast area was Rectrix Aerodrome Center, at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. This operator scored in the top 20% of FBOs in the Americas in the survey, with an average score of 8.9.
